## Terms of Service

**Last updated: 25 August 2026**

These Terms of Service apply to the Sean Electronic website, online store, product sales, quotations and installation services operated by AUSTRALIAN JX (DARWIN) PTY. LTD. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

## 1. Store information

Sean Electronic supplies CCTV, networking, security and related products and may provide professional installation and support services. Our contact details appear at the end of these terms.

## 2. Eligibility and account information

You must provide accurate, current and complete order, account, billing and delivery information. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account, except where the law provides otherwise.

## 3. Product information and compatibility

We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Images may be illustrative and colours, packaging, specifications or included accessories may change. Please confirm compatibility before purchasing, particularly for cameras, recorders, storage, PoE equipment, cabling, software, licences, mobile apps and third-party systems. If you tell us a particular purpose and reasonably rely on our advice, applicable ACL guarantees continue to apply.

## 4. Prices, GST and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars. GST treatment and any delivery charges are displayed at checkout or on the relevant quote or invoice. Payment must be authorised before an online order is processed. We may correct an obvious pricing or listing error and will give you the option to proceed at the corrected price or receive a refund if payment has already been taken.

## 5. Orders

An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order; it does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons including unavailable stock, suspected fraud, payment failure, an obvious error, legal restrictions or an inability to deliver. If we cancel after receiving payment, we will refund the affected amount.

## 6. Shipping, returns and warranties

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns, refunds, faulty products and warranty claims are governed by our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy. Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, your rights under the ACL.

## 7. Installation services

Installation work is governed by the accepted quote, scope of work and these terms. You must provide safe and reasonable site access and disclose known hazards, asbestos, concealed services, access restrictions and relevant network or electrical conditions. You are responsible for obtaining landlord, body corporate, strata, planning or other approvals unless our written quote states otherwise.

Variations requested by you or required because of undisclosed or unexpected site conditions may change the price or completion time. We will seek approval before carrying out material chargeable variations where reasonably practicable. Electrical work requiring a licensed electrician will only be performed or arranged by appropriately licensed persons.

## 8. CCTV, privacy and lawful use

You are responsible for operating cameras, audio recording, analytics, access control and related systems lawfully, including compliance with applicable privacy, surveillance, workplace and signage requirements. Our general product or installation information is not legal advice. You should obtain independent advice where required.

## 9. Security system limitations

CCTV and security products can assist with deterrence, monitoring and evidence collection but cannot prevent every theft, intrusion, outage, cyber incident or other event. Performance may depend on installation, lighting, network availability, power, storage settings, maintenance, third-party services and user configuration. Nothing in this clause limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

## 10. Customer-supplied and third-party products

Where we install, configure or connect customer-supplied or third-party equipment, we are not responsible for pre-existing defects, unsupported products, unavailable credentials, manufacturer service changes or incompatibility that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand. We remain responsible for services we supply as required by law.

## 11. Website use

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape content in a way that disrupts the service, or use the website for unlawful activity. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the business or the service.

## 12. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, website content created by us—including text, graphics, branding and layout—is owned by or licensed to Sean Electronic. Product names and third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. You may not reproduce our content for commercial purposes without permission.

## 13. Third-party services and links

Our store is powered by Shopify and may use third-party payment, delivery, analytics and application providers. Third-party websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content or services except to the extent required by law.

## 14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable or caused by matters outside our reasonable control. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable ACL rights and liability arising from our failure to exercise due care and skill.

## 15. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

## 16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published when you place an order generally applies to that order, together with any accepted quote or written agreement. Material changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights.

## 17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from relying on any mandatory rights available in another Australian jurisdiction.
